“Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.” –Unknown
What a great way to kick off Women of Achievement Month! There’s tons of achievement in the air, and I am thrilled to announce NAPW’s newest member benefit—the eChapter—our first Virtual Networking Chapter and the fastest-growing Chapter in NAPW History! With 2,400+ members to date, NAPW’s eChapter meets you where YOU are—bringing the power of networking to your desktop, tablet or mobile device and connecting you with NAPW members across the country to discuss topics that impact professional women.
We had 250+ LIVE attendees at the soft launch of our inaugural NAPW eChapter meeting on August 19. Thanks to our fantastic facilitator, NAPW Director of Chapters, Louise Newsome and Team NAPW for their great work making our first meeting such a success! Career consultant and NAPW member Amanda Augustine killed it with her impressive and informative slideshow presentation, where she discussed long-term goal planning, building and safeguarding your eReputation and avoiding common personal branding pitfalls. NAPW members were able to share their feedback in our live chat feed throughout the entire webinar and take part in an informative Q&A session and interactive polls. At the closing of our meeting, three VIP members took the floor in a very special VIP Member Spotlight to share their professional passions and areas of expertise. Our Spotlight included:
- Johanna Alter Wilson, Owner, Strategic Financial Group
- Iram Kirmani Ganju, President, IKG Global Consultants LLC
- Janine A. Schindler, Principal Owner, JAS Coaching & Training, Inc.

This great photo was submitted by an NAPW member participating in our eChapter soft launch—a perfect representation of the hard work we do, from our home offices or wherever we are.
Like all of our 200+ Chapters, the eChapter follows the themes of NAPW’s Foundation calendar. Our first official meeting was held on September 9 and honored Women of Achievement Month by spotlighting three accomplished VIP members who impressed us with their knowledge and zest for what they do. Be sure to network with these fabulous ladies, check out their NAPW profiles and find out more about their businesses and services:
- Denise Hansard, Life Architect and Professional Speaker
- Ellen Kvam, Owner-Designer, Ellen Kvam Jewelry
- Marissa Stone, Founder, Simon Says Social
My partner in all things NAPW Chapter related, Louise did a wonderful job (as always) moderating our incredible panel of women who held it down with thought provoking and inspiring conversation. The panel included:
- Zoe Sexton, Managing Director of Wealth Management & Institutional Services, Merriman Capital, Inc.
- Natalie Forest, International Executive Consultant; Best Selling Author; Keynote Speaker and Mentor
- Andrea Campanella Henrich, President, ACH Professional Services
These ladies shared their personal and professional stories of success and empowered us with valuable tips and advice. One of the questions we asked our panelists was, “What defines success for you at this stage in your career?”
Zoe said, “My success is defined by having balance in my life—spending time with my children, friends, family and contributing to my professional network.”
Natalie said, “For me, success is about continuously pushing myself . . . I always want to be innovative . . . I want to be learning more and engaging myself and others . . . ”
Andrea said, “Success is about being able to make your own choices and feeling good about them.”

We don’t want our members to ever miss out on an opportunity to connect with one another. Our eChapter can be your home away from your physical Local Chapter if you are unable to attend a meeting. Additionally, if you are not located in the vicinity of an NAPW Local Chapter, the eChapter is a perfect way to get your NAPW fix and directly plug into the NAPW network. Our virtual networking Chapter is open to all members, so join today and mark your calendars for our next meeting on September 24th at 4pm EST. We will discuss the second Foundation theme of the month, Hispanic Heritage. Be sure to follow the eChapter group page for alerts and more information about our upcoming meetings and speakers.
Ladies, the eChapter is here for you. And you’ve helped us achieve it with your support and commitment to our organization.
We couldn’t have done it without our members. So, thank you! ♥
