Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Most women are aware of the importance of regular mammograms and self-examination for early breast cancer detection. Yet most women forget to make their appointments or know how to properly do their self-exam. Awareness is the first step in saving lives.

Disability Awareness Month
Disability comes in all shapes, sizes and colors, with some more visible than others. Understanding the day-to-day challenges of a person living with a disability opens the door to acceptance of others, which is an important aspect of diversity and inclusion.

Bullying Awareness Month
Knowing the reasons behind bullying, how to spot a bully and how to rectify a bad bullying situation empowers us to rise above the “smallness” of a bully’s actions. Awareness allows us to teach our children how to handle a bully and how not to become one, which also addresses the acceptance of others.
