At networking events, it’s important to break the ice right away—so that’s exactly what we did.
National Director of Chapters, Louise Newsome took the stage to host some fun, interactive speed networking sessions, where attendees made quick and valuable professional connections. You can learn a lot about another person in 30 seconds!
Louise introduced the fabulous host of the evening, NAPW President Star Jones. Star brought everyone up to speed on what’s new and exciting at NAPW, and shared intimate details about
her personal and professional networking journey.
Star introduced, “New York’s First Lady of Philanthropy,” Jean Shafiroff to the stage for “The Power of One” panel. Success Acheived at the 2016 Inc. Women’s Summit!

With nearly 40 NAPW members attending, along with 200+ other professional women, this year’s Inc. Women’s Summit was a networking success. Business women from across the county from a wide variety of industries secured powerful new connections, learned from the influential commentary of guest speakers and promoted their own businesses and careers. The event kicked off with keynote speaker, Barbara Corcoran of ABC’s Shark Tank who took the stage to share her entrepreneurial story and tips for aspiring business women.

Additional event highlights included informative tech and financial panels, discussions about business policy and of course, an unforgettable speech from world tennis champion, Venus Williams.

Last month, Star Jones, President of PDN/NAPW and Kathy Butkevich, CEO of PDN/NAPW were at the NASDAQ for the premier company partnership dedication ceremony celebrating the partnership between Cosmic Forward Limited and Professional Diversity Network, a NASDAQ publicly traded company under the symbol IPDN.
