 Help Raise Funds for NAPW Foundation Partner Dress for Success! 

NAPW defines success as “owning your own power” — to follow your dreams and call for the confidence within yourself to move forward in your life and career.

Join NAPW President, Star Jones; National Director of Chapters, Louise Newsome; CEO of Dress for Success, Joi Gordon; and very special guest Lea Goldman, Features & Special Projects Director, Marie Claire magazine on Monday, June 1, 2015 for the NAPW Call for Confidence. The empowering philanthropic mission of Dress for Success promotes the economic emancipation of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. NAPW Local Chapters Sounded Off about Sexual Assault

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 2 women have experienced sexual violence at some point in their lives. April was Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the professional women of NAPW built a supportive network of protection through education, self-defense classes and important discussions. NAPW members also learned healthy ways to manage stress from professional experts and stress-relief techniques.

It’s always a great time to join a Local Chapter or even an additional Chapter in your area to expand your connections even further!

Find Your Fitness Power
with Our Orland Park Chapter 

Fuel yourself with fitness! Orland Park Chapter President Helen Morgan and her team hold an informative fitness and nutrition education meeting, featuring a Certified Nutrition Advisor discussing the importance of preparing our bodies for physical fitness to obtain optimal results. NAPW professional women learn what it takes to fill their lives with healthy fitness options and foods for everyday living. Orland Park Chapter members also hold a special Shoe Drive and donate children’s gym shoes benefiting “Share your Soles,” giving back to boys and girls in need throughout local communities and around the world. Chapter members connect even further for the annual MS Walk, supporting people around the world affected by multiple sclerosis. The Walk brings friends, families and coworkers together to raise awareness for this important cause and to keep moving toward a cure.

Build Muscles and Brain Power
with Our NAPW Los Angeles Chapter

Get moving and live smart! Los Angeles Chapter President Ruth Garcia-Corrales and her team know that physical fitness has the power to increase brain function. The professional women of LA get fit with a powerful workout session and learn exercise tips and nutritional advice from nutrition and fitness experts. The Chapter also invites a very special guest—US Volleyball Olympic Team Captain, Lindsay Berg—to share her exercise regimen. NAPW members learn healthy ways to live a successful lifestyle and network-out the evening away.

Get Technologically Fit
with Our King of Prussia, PA Chapter 

Work out your technology muscles to build a powerful professional network! King of Prussia Chapter President Vanessa Hunter holds an event to teach NAPW professional women how to utilize LinkedIn for career and business success. Chapter members learn how to embrace their online communities to build a powerful network and get tips on how to enhance their NAPW.com profiles by importing their LinkedIn profiles.

Dance It Out…
with Our Forest Hills Chapter

Rhythm is a dancer! Forest Hills Chapter President Anjali Chugh and her Chapter dance to the beat with an exciting Zumba workout session. NAPW members and guests work it out and learn about the healthy benefits that Zumba has to offer from a certified Zumba Instructor. The interactive workshop empowers women to stay active and get the exercise our bodies need. Together, we inspire one another to live healthy and be happy.

Take the First Step to Success
with Our Birmingham, AL Chapter

The Journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step. Birmingham Chapter President Leigh Ana Amerson and her team of motivated professional women host a Brown Bag Lunch Workshop to discuss the “Counting Steps Project.” Over a six-to-eight week period, NAPW members will use a pedometer or tracking sheet to record the number of daily steps they take. A virtual target location will be chosen by each participant. At the end of the Project, they will find out if they have reached their target destination. Members who reach their goal will receive a special prize. A little challenge goes a long way!

Fitness Education in the Park
with Our St. Petersburg Chapter

Get fit and be inspired! St. Petersburg Chapter President Maurie Lung and her team of professional women gather at a local park where a special guest fitness expert leads an inspirational discussion and provides information about her health and fitness coaching services. NAPW members take part in a mini-training session along the waterfront for a relaxing fitness education experience. Professional women learn exercises and techniques to empower their mind and body, helping them to feel free, stay well and live happy.

with Our Simi Valley Chapter 

Your inward journey begins with self-awareness, authentic connections and personal power. Simi Valley, CA Chapter President Carolyn Philmon and her professional team host an evening of networking, delicious food and great conversation. The meeting features an inspirational guest speaker Sue Bryan—author, Personal Transformation Specialist, entrepreneur and NAPW Member—who discusses innovative ways for NAPW members to learn, love and grow to achieve their dreams. She will provide an interactive Q&A coaching session where the professional women of NAPW create a network of support and encourage each other to succeed personally and professionally.

Healthy Tips from Mr. Fitness
with Our Wichita, KA Chapter

Make yourself and your health a priority! Wichita Chapter President Linda Shinogle and NAPW members hold a Physical Fitness event featuring a very special guest speaker—a certified fitness trainer and Mr. Universe contestant—discussing tips on physical fitness and ways to live a healthy, fit lifestyle. The evening will offer a delicious nutritional dinner, healthy conversations and lasting connections.

Walk (and Run) for Your Health
with Our Greensboro, NC Chapter

The professional women of Greensboro and Chapter President Teresa A. Bailey know that physical fitness helps maintain heart health and makes you feel good. NAPW members join NAPW Foundation partner, the American Heart Association for its Annual Heart and Stroke Walk to support the cause. Chapter members also meet with guest speaker—Financial Advisor and President of the Greensboro Running Club—for a discussion about physical fitness and training. The Greensboro Chapter has what it takes to educate their minds and work out their bodies to live healthy successful lives.

Achieve Your Next Level of Fitness
with Our Pembroke Pines, FL Chapter

Live well, be healthy! Pembroke Pines Chapter President Sylvia Doane-Ward and her team make physical fitness and sports a priority by holding a Health and Wellness meeting. The featured guest speaker owns of a fitness studio, and an additional guest speaker is a Thrive Consultant on Health and Wellness Products. NAPW members learn how to be health conscious, physically fit and how to power up their healthy lives with nutritive products, vitamins and more. With a supportive network and great advice, NAPW professional women achieve wellness and success together.

with Our Austin Chapter

Live adventurously and impact your life! Austin Chapter President Misty D.
