“Mere longevity is a good thing for those who watch life from the side lines. For those who play the game, an hour may be a year, a single day’s work an achievement for eternity.” –Helen Hayes

Local Chapters are run by a core group of dedicated professional women who put their time and energy into creating value for NAPW members. The tenacity of the women I work with inside and outside of NAPW can only be described as inspiring and empowering. The opportunity to empower women has become a personal passion that absorbs my days fully as I reach my two-year anniversary at NAPW as the National Director of Chapters, and the five-year mark as NYC Chapter President.

September is Women of Achievement Month on the NAPW Foundation Calendar. Local Chapters across the country are highlighting women in their community who have achieved success in their areas of expertise.

As Helen Hayes so eloquently stated, that when you play the game and get involved, opportunities can be presented to you that would not have otherwise. So how can a Local Chapter enhance your opportunities for success and achievement?

Nothing happens without your commitment. Even if you don’t have the time to participate as an active Chapter board member, your regular attendance and participation at events will enable you to strive for more.

I always say that an NAPW membership is like a gym membership. If you don’t use it then you won’t see the results!

Being an active participant in our NAPW community builds a support network and can create opportunities that open up doors to the goals you wish to achieve.

And if you don’t have a Local Chapter in your area, we now have the NAPW eChapter, our virtual networking Chapter that has bi-weekly events for all our members to attend.

By joining the eChapter today, it enables you to connect instantly with NAPW members across the country. Our eChapter group is quickly growing, and I am thrilled to announce that, to date, we have over 2,800 members! The eChapter also provides our VIP members with the opportunity to submit to be featured in the VIP spotlight or participate as a featured speaker at an eChapter meeting. VIP members who are interested in participating at upcoming eChapter events, please email me at echapter@napw.com.

To your success!
