A Network of Education and Support – Knowledge is Power!

“When you have your health, you have everything. When you do not have your health, nothing else matters at all.” –Augusten Burroughs, Dry: A Memoir. Augusten Burroughs

During the month of October, we launched our  #NAPWGoesPink campaign . . . not because we love the color, but because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an important month for all women.

NAPW corporate and members are banding together across the country to educate and support one another because we know that “Knowledge is Power!”

Our eChapter meeting on October 7th was educational and empowering. We invited a research expert from NAPW Foundation partner the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to speak on our panel, and we also heard from an NAPW member and breast cancer survivor who created a business to help other women like her. The eChapter has certainly become a national platform for us to showcase the incredible NAPW resources we have within our network of over 775,000 women!

I know that for myself, making time to go to the doctor falls to the wayside due to work and other life conflicts, but being part of NAPW creates awareness and reminds us to look after ourselves . . . maybe even playing a part in saving a life. How powerful is that!

So, if you haven’t made that yearly appointment, please do because as Augusten Burroughs rightly quotes, “When you have your health, you have everything. When you do not have your health, nothing else matters at all.”

I’m making mine now!
